implifying as a Way to Honour Our Intuition

A reflection on inner listening, and making space for what truly guides us.

These words emerged during a month that felt dense and quietly demanding.
A time when many of us feel drawn to turn inward,
even as life continues to ask for presence, clarity, and responsiveness,
while we carry a quiet tiredness within us.

This year, December brings in a sense that something new is opening — more subtle, more refined —
and that meeting it requires space, rest, and a different quality of attention.

Over these weeks, I felt a growing need to simplify.
Not my life entirely, but my way of being inside it.
To notice where energy was dispersing, and where something essential was asking to be protected.

To surrender to the needs for nourishment and balance – real food, meditation, more space for soulful breaths.

This reflection grew from that place.
From listening to fatigue as information, and to simplification as a form of care.

I’m sharing it here as it came —
not as an answer, but as quiet company for anyone sensing a similar need to retreat, clear, and listen

December, 2025

There are times when life quietly asks us to simplify.
Not that something is wrong. Indeed, because something is ready to be heard more clearly.

Often this invitation doesn’t arrive as a clear decision. It comes as a subtle tiredness. A sense of having gone a little too far in too many directions. A feeling that something essential is being covered over by excess — of plans, of expectations, of noise. Then, it is a movement toward honesty. A quiet return to what feels essential, alive, and true.

When we begin to simplify, the first thing we notice is space.
Something more than an abstract space. It’s a very tangible one: in the body, in the breath, in the way we move through our days. In a sacred order and a breathable lightness that permeate and support our living again.

And within that space, attention naturally turns inward. Something subtle becomes audible again: the voice of our intuition starts to make itself felt again.

Intuition rarely announces itself with certainty. It doesn’t argue, convince, or insist.
It tends to appear quietly, through small recognitions — a sense of ease here, a subtle resistance there, a gentle pull toward what feels more aligned.

Even if for many of us, this inner guidance has always been present, what changes over time is how much room we give it.

As life unfolds, we accumulate structures that once made sense.
Ways of doing, ways of relating, ways of seeing ourselves.
Some of them still support us. Others slowly lose their vitality. Even if we don’t notice it immediately – over time, some of them stop serving the life that is now asking to be lived.

As we release what is heavy or misaligned, we become availableAvailable to feel what brings quiet joy. Available to notice where energy naturally flows. Available to move in ways that are more aligned, less effortful, and more truthful.

Consider how different it feels to move through a day when fewer things are pulling at you.
When choices are simpler. When the body is not constantly bracing against an inner “should.”

In those moments, listening becomes easier.
Even if answers are not suddenly appear, sensitivity increases.
We start to recognize what nourishes us, what drains us, and what quietly brings a sense of rightness.

Honoring intuition, then, is less about following a perfect inner compass and more about staying in relationship with this felt sense. It often asks for small, honest adjustments rather than dramatic changes.
A different rhythm. Encouraging what feels alive, and allowing what feels heavy to loosen its grip.

As this way of moving settles in, something shifts in how we experience life.
Actions feel less forced – Decisions feel less defensive.
There is a growing sense of cooperation — with ourselves, with others, with life as it unfolds.

When we simplify in this way, life tends to respond.
Becoming more real – even if not more easier.

And in that reality, a different quality of living begins to take shape
one grounded in connection, gratitude, and a deeper trust in our own inner guidance.
